This program is designed to find and safely remove all forms of malware on your computer: Worms, Trojans, Spyware, Adware, Keyloggers, Rootkits, etc. This all may make you unwillingly lose your Internet traffic, as well as suffer from malware activity, which damages your operating system making it glitch and sending your passwords for personal services to other people.
The app is nice to look at: the interface is very user-friendly, with no confusing buttons and multiple adjustable options. It is designed for everyday user and allows for quick and comprehensive scan for malware at one click using large database of threats.
When you start the app, you see 3 buttons on it’s main screen: “Scan System”, “System Health” and “Check for updates”. “Scan System” does what it is supposed to do, and the whole process of mawere detecting takes about 30 minutes.
“System Health” tells you, how long ago you updated The Cleaner’s database and also how long ago you had your computer checked for malware with The Cleaner.
"Check for uptades" option obviously checks the website of the manufacturer for new broadened databases, which The Cleaner uses to find the latest malware gadgets.
In the options for the program you can switch off sounds produced by the program, choose whether you want the app to do an inside-archive scanning (takes much more time to finish the scan), set the white-list of files you don’t want to be checked (some programs you use may be recognized as malware by this type of cleaners) and set the heuristic level from “Very relaxed” to “Paranoid”.
The program also allows to view the report on every scanning, manage the database and send suspicious files to the MooSoft lab for checking and categorizing as malware.
The free downloadable version is cut to the basics. The full retail version comes with traditional tools, such as registry, start-up, task managers, etc. |
